Persepolis

In the story Persepolis, everbody in the school has  to wear a veil because they were symbols of capitalism people who didn't wear veils were separated. Many people were against the veil. Marjane communicated with god because she wanted to become a prophet. She talks and sees god, but there is times when she doesn't want to talk to him or she wants to change the conversation of becoming a prophet. The teacher thinks something is wrong with Marjane because she wants to become a prophet. It seems that god really likes Marejane because he said," Yes you are, celestial light, you are my choice, my last and my best choice. So she is the one chosen by god to become a prophet.

You're not here, world seems different.

When someone I love is not around, I feel sad and like everything changes. I look around and it seems like I'm somewhere else, like if I moved to another place to live. It also seems more boring without that special someone that I love. I don't know,I feel kind of weird when that person is not around. I feel like I'm missing something. In some occasions I feel like if it wasn't for that person, I wouldn't be happy here in this world and when I say that "PERSON", it means anyone , my mom, dad, friend, cousin, boyfriend, ect. Thanks to that person that is here in this life with me, I'm here happy and loving life, even though we might have our ups and downs, but we still are here to help each other when we need something. So appreciate who you have and don't wish for more because what you have is better than having nothing.

Whale Rider

Whale Rider is about a girl named Pai. Her grandfather didn't really like her because when Pai's mother gave birth to her and her brother, they both died and she was the only one who survived, so he got mad because the little boy died. He wanted a boy to become the leader for the tribe.Pai thought her grandpa didn't like her because he was sometimes mean with her and didn't want to teach her like he taught to the other young boys. At last everybody knew Pai was the chosen one to be the leader because when all of  those whales got out and  were starting to die, Pai got in top of one of them and suddenly it started swimming and all the whales got back in the ocean. Her grandfather never knew that it was going to be her. So that's when Pai's grandfather and everybody else realized that she had become the leader of the tribe. At the end he was really proud of Pai.

      My favorite pet is a rabbit. I have a pet rabbit, she is gray and super soft. I used to have two but one of them died because it was sick. I feed them carrots, lettuce, and other foods that are good for them. I don't really like pets but I think rabbits are very cute and are very soft to touch. My bunny's name is Daisy and she doesn't really like when people touch her but she likes when I carry her because she knows that I'm the one that is always feeding her and stuff. Once she ran away and I thought she was never going to come back but two days later she did and I got so happy. Daisy doesn't run away anymore because she knows that she lives there, at first she was scared of everything but now she's always in my yard and stays there. I really like my bunny. I've had her for two years and I hope she never dies.
